“Dity Heroiv - Children of Heroes” camps provided children of soldiers and fallen soldiers an opportunity to step away from their present lives activities and stay in nature.  The camp are filled with daily activities teaching the children the history of Ukraine from the times of Kyivan Rus to present day.  Ukrainian traditions, and culture is shared during camp, exploring craftsmanship, traditions during holidays, songs and Ukrainian spirit.  Workshops were conducted to teach life skills, healthy practices, taking care of self-well-being, and improve skills for coping with the stress of war. Opportunities to display, practice and fortify leadership skills are also a key component of the program.  Experienced sports coaches conducted workshops to instill the necessary spirit of teamwork and healthy lifestyle through competition and play.
