DITY HEROIV - CHILDREN OF HEROES

Group of seven young people wearing matching black hoodies with a logo, standing together outdoors in front of an old building with steps, some are smiling and one is covering her mouth.

“Dity Heroiv - Children of Heroes” camps provided children of soldiers and fallen soldiers an opportunity to step away from their present lives activities and stay in nature.  The camps are filled with daily activities that teach children about the history of Ukraine, from the time of Kyivan Rus to the present day. Ukrainian traditions and culture are shared throughout the camp, exploring craftsmanship, holiday traditions, songs, and the Ukrainian spirit. Workshops are conducted to teach life skills, promote healthy practices, encourage self-care and well-being, and enhance coping skills for dealing with the stress of war. Opportunities to showcase, practice, and strengthen leadership skills are also a key component of the program. Experienced sports coaches lead workshops to instill the values of teamwork and a healthy lifestyle through competition and play.

“Thank you to our supporters and sponsors that make this camp a reality for the children in Ukraine”
